Travel Diary: Fighting Hunger In Honduras
With one billion people hungry and one billion people underweight across the globe, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by the ever-present problem of world hunger. But the FEED
Foundation, a dynamic humanitarian organization (based right here in NYC!) has a message for us: solving world hunger is simpler than we think
. Through its partnerships with Clarins
and The UN World Food Programme
, FEED is providing meals and nutritional support to those who need it the most: women, children and those affected by HIV/AIDS. I was recently fortunate enough to have been invited to travel to Honduras with FEED, Clarins, and the WFP to see the impact that hunger is having among the country's people and join the work that WFP is doing to end the vicious cycle of malnutrition.
Check out my photos from this inspiring trip and join FEED's fight to eradicate world hunger by purchasing a FEED bag (each one provides a specific amount of school meals to children) and watching the Facebook livestream
of the FEED and Clarins Million Meals Concert
on May 30 (tomorrow).
