This Year’s White House Holiday Guide Satisfies All Your DIY Needs

white-houseslide
Listen up, Martha Stewart — you've got some competition from America's current crafter- and baker-in-chief, Michelle Obama. The 2012 White House holiday booklet, released yesterday, includes recipes and DIY craft projects, along with illustrations of this year's White House holiday decor and stories about holiday traditions in White House history.
What does that mean for you? Well, for starters, it means you'll be the hit of your cookie-swap party when you bake up a batch of ginger crinkle cookies from an official White House recipe. While the cookies bake, you can follow a tutorial to DIY your own snow globes. The instructions are totally kid-friendly, but we can see ourselves making up some cool homemade snow globes as cute little gifts for pals. Maybe a tiny President Obama figurine (or better yet, a tiny Bo) dashing through a Snowpocalypse would be appropriate?
