When it comes to tying the knot, adding your own quirky personal touches transforms your special day into something truly memorable. And after seeing Andrea Cheng’s dreamy ceremony, we couldn’t help but fall in love.

From a stylish jumpsuit in lieu of a gown to the towering cream-puff riff on a cake, this unconventional and laid-back wedding was anything but ordinary. The intimate nuptials were held at San Francisco’s City Hall, followed by a waterfront dinner party at Villa Montara that is sure to leave you swooning.

"The house and its incredible views really speak for itself, so we wanted everything at the party to complement that," Cheng tells R29. "The linens were dyed with indigo as an ode to the Pacific, and our custom enamel pins and watercolor name cards mimicked the epic sunset hues."

If you’re looking for out-of-the-box ideas or unique details for your big day, this slideshow is the only guide you’ll need to have on hand. Click ahead to take a look at the magical affair and be prepared to get some major alt-bride inspiration.
