We live for the weekend. So, this fall, we're sharing the epic destinations that are filling up our 48 hours of uninterrupted freedom in this new series, Weekend Wanderlust. Get inspired, and then show us your own #Epic48 weekend snaps on Instagram.

Whether it's boozy brunch followed by a sample sale, solo time at the park with a magazine before a sunset run, or just closing all the curtains and catching up on some ZZZs, everyone's got a go-to weekend itinerary.

But, for R29 photo assistant Rockie Nolan, weekends in her nook of Brooklyn are times to take her adventure streak up a notch and try new things — like zipping through Williamsburg on a vintage motorcycle or playing shuffleboard for the first time, which we admit sounds incredibly dull but is actually surprisingly riveting.

So, we teamed up with Secret's Scent Expressions and Destinations Collection to spend a weekend with Rockie and document her many "firsts," while getting the scoop on the best pit stops in town. Take a look at her nonstop weekend — it just might inspire you to take a trip down the L line.

Early Saturday Morning: Getting Ready At Home
"On weekends, I try to get out as much as I can, so I get ready really quickly in the morning. But, I like having things that remind me of Texas — like cacti and personal photos — to slow me down and make me appreciate things more."

    Saturday Morning: Private Skating Lessons
"I spent a good chunk of the morning taking a skating lesson with Rob Rodrigues at SURE Skateboards. It’s something I’ve wanted to do since I was little but somehow never got around to learning how. This is actually a longboard, which is the longer version of a skateboard. It's more for cruising around rather than doing tricks."

"I like the idea of getting around via a longboard. I mostly bike everywhere now, but a board is so much easier to transport around."

"The board I used was from Bustin Boards, which has a lot of colorful, hand-painted styles. If you're looking to buy one, part of the shopping experience is getting to pair it with the wheels of your choice, which is why I think shopping local is always better."

Saturday Afternoon: Stroll Through Fort Greene
"I lived in this neighborhood when I first moved to NYC, so it's nice to come back every now and then to help my friend walk her dog, Roxy. Sometimes I dream of quitting everything and being a dog walker or working with animals in some way."
