Basic Training Pop-Up Launch Fueled By Fitbit Outdoor Training Summer is all about getting outside and getting active, and Basic Training has partnered with FitBit to cover all bases. Through this free basic-training series, you can have your butt whipped into shape while enjoying your favorite neighborhood. Starting at the Hayes Valley Proxy, there will be classes every hour on the hour, so head over for a limited-edition basic-training tee (courtesy of Alternative Apparel) and prizes and raffles from Aether Apparel, and more.

The Mountain Verses At Marisa Haskell
Marisa Haskell is a hot spot for amazing finds — and beyond just your jewelry box, at that. At Oakland's First Friday, she'll debut a collection of paintings by Obi Kaufman, titled The Mountain Verses. The works offer a narrative of what happens after you leave the city and immerse yourself in wilderness. Appropriately, the artist is also the man behind local favorite Juniper Ridge Perfumery.
