Full confession: I took a two-hour train ride from Connecticut to New York when I heard that Paul Rowland (who scouts some of the best and brightest new models), V Mag , and Supreme (home to some of the, well, best and brightest new models) were throwing a Fashion Week kick-off bash together. But enough about my strange commute habits. At the sparse, warehouse-y loft space on the Westside Highway last night, it seemed like a model bomb had exploded when every recognizable face showed up to get down in their party best. Hanne Gaby strutted on the terrace for Rowland himself while "rich girl" Behati tried out her dance moves in the ubiquitous Alex Wang denim motorcycle jacket (putting every other Wangster who ever wore it to shame!). New faces Alla and Jeneil mingled with veteran stunner Tanya D underneath the Christmas lights with all the ease of a high-school house party. Alas, if only the cheerleaders and their cohorts from our senior year looked this good.
