A (PBR And MetroCard Made) Tree Grows In Brooklyn

PC101484-copy
If someone told you there was a Brooklyn Christmas Tree, you'd probably say, "what, is it like, made of PBR?" and (at least in this case) you'd be right. Yep, this thing actually exists, and it stands proud in McCaren Park. While you were rolling your eyes at the Rockefeller Christmas Tree lighting, Brooklyn was doing something about it — constructing its own very Brooklyn-esque version of the mighty pine. Made from 300 cans of PBR, 30 used MetroCards, and a bunch of tinsel, the tree may look like the leftovers of a college party, but oh what a joyful one! And, never one to be outdone, this tree is actually social media savvy, taking Christmas wishes via Twitter— the perfect place to post your wish for that new moustache trimmer, vintage cruiser, or, yes, a six-pack if Pabst.
