The Amount Of Seized Counterfeit Bags Has Fallen By 90% Since 2004

If things keep going according to Louis Vuitton's plans, those ubiquitous fake LV bags will become a part of the past, and fast! In 2004, U.S. customs officials seized 2 million counterfeit bags, and due to new U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement in efforts as well as other initiatives stemming from Louis Vuitton's criminal enforcement department, the number of seized items fell to 200,000 this year. They still haven't figured out how to effectively stop the number of online purchases of fake bags, but a 90% drop rate in six years is a pretty great start. (WWD)
