Is Your Wedding Cake Missing Something? We’ve Got The Solution

222couple_2
Valentine's Day has come and gone, leaving plenty of bouquets, half-eaten chocolates, and, we'd be willing to bet, fresh engagements in its wake! If you're one of the lucky gals whose fella popped the big question, you've got your work cut out for you: Wedding season is right around the corner.
From the dress to the venue to the guest list, you'll have plenty of details to coordinate, so we've taken the liberty of taking care of the cake — or at least the cake topper! Meet local sculptor Taylor Zitman. Zitman began playing around with clay at the age of 8, and by 15, she was selling her sculptures to local Chicagoland stores. Her graphics have been featured in Perezhilton.com, and Jezebel.com, but it's her work with local brides and grooms that's really captured our attention. These aren't your typical man-and-woman stick figures. Zitman's taking a much more creative approach.

Love to play Mario Kart with your guy? Play the Princess Peach to his plumber. Big Tim Burton fans? Adorn your cake with a mini Sally and Jack from The Nightmare Before Christmas. If you're more traditional, Zitman can also make a clay likeness of you and your sweetie — she'll even throw in one of your pooch! Prices vary per custom piece, but we think these are totally worth the investment — you'll want to save them as keepsakes long after your guests have devoured your cake!
Check out Taylor's website for more details.
