After waiting for what seemed like ages for S.F.’s shiny-new Target to swing open, the anticipated moment finally arrived last week when the grand CityTarget threw its doors open at the Metreon. Seriously, it's sort of every city-dweller's dream come true ... and now that retail satisfaction is about to double!
That's right, folks, if you live on the West side of town, you won't have to shuffle to the Metreon to get your Target fix, because the big-box brand's second CityTarget location will be opening in the City Center complex, on the corner of Geary and Masonic, in October 2013. The under-construction shop will be an astonishing 119,000 square feet and will be housed in the former Mervyn’s space, which has been vacant for well over a year. Twice as nice, eh? Now that’s what we call retail therapy!
