The Latest Hair Trend That’s About To Blow Up

Could the days of ombré and pastel hues be behind us? As Teen Vogue points out, a new hair trend has been flooding our Instagram feeds that has the potential to finally edge them out — and it goes by the name of #SplitHair. 

As the name suggests, this new phenomenon is when you dye half your hair one color, and half another. The contrast usually begins at the crown of the head (although it can be at the mid-strands). Can't decide between those two pastels? Just go with both. Thinking of dyeing your hair, but are too scared to commit full-on? Just do half. Want to show off all the complex dimensions of your personality? This is one way to do it.

While it's not a trend for those who are bothered by some side-eye while walking down the street, it's by far the most fun and unique take on colorful strands we've seen in a while.
