Solange Inspires An Epic NYE, Makes Inflatable Instruments Look Cool

Not quite feeling in the party mood just yet? Yep, we hear ya. But we also fully acknowledge that NYE is simply one of those can't-miss nights to perk up, dress pretty, and raise a glass with loved ones as good tunes play all around. So, in case you need another small dose of excitement before partaking in tonight's festivities, we've found some help in the latest shots of GQ's January '13 issue.
Featuring the coolest motley crew of musicians we love (and constantly tune in to), the pics capture Blood Orange's Devonté Hynes and Grizzly Bear's Ed Droste, along with one of our own favorite stars of style and song, Solange Knowles.
While the men's mag feature is all about a new take on party dressing for the guys — bow ties and shawl-collared tux jackets look dapper as ever — it's Knowles, as we expected, that kills it in a printed party dress and strappy zebra-striped sandals. Wailing away on the mic, with a backup band holding blowup instruments (a different kind of wind instrument, if you will), Bey's little sister supplies just the right amount of inspiration to get our own special night started. Now, who's going to bring the inflatable sax? (GQ)
