The New Colorblocking: Saks Breathes New Life Into An Old(ish) Trend

    Colorblocking has been a major trend for years now — and whether you block like a boss or are just getting the hang of it, you're probably wondering how to keep the look up to date.

    Enter, Saks Fifth Avenue. This season, Saks offers a new take on a trend that (in fashion terms, anyway) is practically AARP-eligible.

    The updates? First, play with silhouette. Instead of the sharp, minimalist lines we usually associate with the trend, try draped layers, à la Acne's sherbet-toned minidress. Second, opt for new color combos. We love Diane von Furstenberg's sculptural, salmon blazer with a navy printed pant. And, we still love colorblocking with brights, but this season, keep it understated by mixing neon with shades of black, white, and gray — like Fendi's gorgeous frame bag.

This Is What Death Really Looks Like

In Western cultures, we tend to avoid death at all costs. We avoid thinking about it and talking about it, and when faced with it, we often go to extraordinary measures to delay it. Photographer Cathrine Ertmann decided to confront death head-on. Her project "About Dying" is a "photo essay from the morgue" that "works as read
