A slender anchor symbol at the door indicated the place for the Spring Collection of fashionjacks Costello Tagliapietra. Known for their elegantly draped, jewel-toned jersey gowns this time around the guys brought out the big guns. Or, rather, what the big guns would wear if they also happened to be 15-year-old Estonian models. Yes, drapey jersey was in attendance, but elegance took a back seat to tough Village People touches. Low-slung skirts paired with cropped tops and leather motorcycle caps, anchor and cobra tattoos with a canary-yellow gown with a kelly green back. This is what the love child of Glenn Hughes and Nike of Samothrace might wear out stomping at Sway, just before going home to drink some beer and hand-wash her delicates.
