We’re constantly in awe of the design endeavors coming out of the pretty Pacific Northwest. So much, in fact, we helmed an entire guide to shopping in PDX. But, another prime line has come to our attention that has us doing sartorial backflips.
Yep, if there’s one thing Portland doesn’t play around with, it’s its leather goods. Based out of the Rose City, Primecut’s natural, cowhide clutches and wallets boast rustic elements infused with timeless shapes and unique design hallmarks that are multi-functional and aesthetically driven for everyday use. Plus, each clutch and wallet is completely unique and distinct (no twinsie moments happening here). "It really encompasses the individuality that can only be found in nature. Through the one-of-a-kind cowhides sourced from local and regional leather suppliers, every bag is an individual expression," says founder Lizzie Falkenstein. E/L Studio transformed an 1800s horse stable that was an abandoned property in a neglected alley in Washington, DC, into an architect’s storefront studio with a home above . The white brick building looks unassuming from the street making the interior quite an unexpected surprise. read
