Kellie Brown, the iconoclastic, NYC-based beauty behind the blog And I Get Dressed, is practically the queen of layering. And, if you're looking for some fresh style advice, you're in luck — Kellie's fiercely feminine Instagram feed is a constant source of sartorial (and lipstick!) ingenuity.
Autumn is near, friends — it's near! Just the thought of being able to wear layers upon layers warms my heart (and my extremities). If you're curvy or plus, you might think the multi-tiered look is impossible to pull off without adding bulk, but with the right shapes and proportions, it's really the key to transitional dressing.

If the last few years have taught us anything, it's that you can toss a moto jacket over anything and look perfect. Whether you keep it simple or take a nacho approach — you know, just keep adding things until you look amazing — layers add depth and interest to an outfit. And, who doesn't want to be deep and interesting?

Classics additions like a long-line blazer, a duster, or collared shirt make up some of our favorite looks. But, maybe you want to try something a bit more unexpected, like an oversized button-down worn as a skirt over boyfriend jeans, or a thin, knit sweater under a sleeveless dress. If that's the case, the building blocks to your perfect layered look are just ahead.
