In case any of you fashionable Floridians didn’t already know, our new local edition targeting the chic boutiques, flavorful restaurants, and happening events going in Miami starts posting on December 5, and GUESS — a brand that knows a few things about evenings on the town — has rolled out the red carpet for us by sponsoring one heck of a welcome party.
On December 1, a night of dancing, drinking, and temporary-tattooing kicks off at the Art District’s Cafeina Wynwood Lounge, with hosts Nikki Novo, Johnny Misheff, Chelsea Leyland, Michael Saiger, Matthew Chevallard, and our own Senior Editor Kristian Laliberte and Creative Director Piera Gelardi. DJ May Kwok will provide the music, Violent Lips will provide the temporary lip tattoos, and Svedka will provide the...um…Svedka! Because Art Basel will be in full swing by then, Not A Gallery artist Justin Belmont hooked us up with a complete Warhol-inspired art garden outside the venue you'll just have to see to believe. We know, it's a lot to process. And don’t worry, Miamians, even if you aren't on the guest list, we'll hook you up with a party soon. One thing you can count on: When Refinery29 comes to town, there will always be plenty of opportunities to join us at the open bar.
