1. Kiss Summer Goodbye It's true, lip colors come and go, but a bold red lip is forever. So, say adios to summer's bright pinks, because it’s time to usher in some seriously gorgeous reds. This fall, red is going deeper, so look out for rich hues that range from burgundy to plum. We're loving these options from Kat Von D and NARS, but there's bound to be more luscious lip colors to come.

NARS Pure Matte Lipstick in Mascate, $25, available at NARS; Kat Von D Foiled Love Lipstick in F.T.W., $18, available at Sephora.

2. Update Your Eye-Makeup
As summer turns to autumn, it’s time to pay some major attention to those peepers we’ve kept under U.V.-wraps for the past few months. Eyes are getting smoky and dusty, with metallics and deep gem-tone shades—and don't forget layers of lashes and defined brows. Our new favorite is Lancôme's Hypnôse Doll Lashes, and with its new formula and cone-shaped brush, expect your lash-batting power to enter a new level of flirty, wide-eyed appeal. Want to play up those eyes further? Add a little drama with a smoky look using fall's deep palette found in Smashbox's Photo Op.

Lancôme Paris Hypnôse Doll Lashes, $25, available at Lancôme; Smashbox Girls On Film Photo Op Palette in Smokebox, $42, available at Smashbox; It Cosmetics Brow Power, $24, available at It Cosmetics.

3. Switch to a Sexy Scent Summer means scents that are light, clean, and beachy. For fall, we’re favoring some spicier, sexier notes. Our first pick is Estée Lauder's newest revamp; Sensuous gets a woody-musk makeover, becoming Sensuous Nude. With Sicilian bergamot, jasmine petals, a splash of coconut water, and black pepper, Sensuous Nude has a smoldering spark. Our second pick is Acqua di Parma's Gelsomino Nobile, a floral jasmine that's light and airy, but has hints of sultry musk and spicy pink pepper.

Acqua di Parma Gelsomino Nobile, $108, available in September at Saks Fifth Avenue; Estée Lauder Sensuous Nude, $52, available at Estée Lauder.

4. Deepen Your Digits
You don't have to discard your summer nail-polish shades, but be aware: The fall lacquer collections are insanely gorgeous. With deep blues, rich wine-colored shades, and unexpected neutrals, you've got plenty to choose from—start planning your fall manis now!

Essie Nail-Polish in Very Structured, $8, available at Essie; Dior Vernis Nail Lacquer in Blue Tuxedo, $22, available at Nordstrom; CND Dark Amethyst Nail-Polish, $29 for collection of 3, available in September at CND.

5. Fall, Feet First
While we like to think that sandy beaches are nature's own foot exfoliant, a summer spent in sandals means you need some foot TLC. Start with Sally Hansen's Revitalizing Foot Soak to soften and cleanse. Then, take time to repair and revive your worn-out soles with Caudalie Foot Beauty Cream, which delivers tons of moisture but has a clean, matte finish. And don't forget to nourish and touch up your toes with a little tea tree oil.

Sally Hansen Revitalizing Foot Soak, $6.42, available at Drugstore.com; Caudalie Foot Beauty Cream, $20, available at Beauty Bar.

6. Rock Your Body
You can cling onto your summer bronze, but eventually you'll have to come to terms with the fact that wacky tan-lines are not cute. To start the fall season fresh with smooth, even skin, opt for a light scrub like Philosophy's Microdelivery Exfoliating Body Wash. It exfoliates while also delivering natural oils and botanical moisturizers. Another great option is Eau Thermale Avene Gentle Body Scrub. Its dual formula exfoliates dry, sensitive skin and leaves you with a smooth, clear complexion you'll want to maintain all year.

Philosophy The Microdelivery Exfoliating Body Wash, $25, available at Philosophy; Eau Thermale Avene Gentle Body Scrub, $20, available at Skin Store.

7. Give Yourself Some Face Time
Fall's cooler temps signal the need to heal and replenish skin—and that’s something we could all use after months in the heat and sun. Lancôme's new Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector is a serum designed to correct imperfections like enlarged pores, wrinkles, and rough texture, using an innovative, new molecule that penetrates the skin's layers to trigger a self-renewal process. Another stellar option is Clark's Botanicals Intense Radiance Mask, a multitasking treatment that calms, moisturizes, and clarifies skin.

Lancôme Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector, $84, available at Macy's; Clark's Botanicals Intense Radiance Mask, $62, available at Space NK.

8. Protect Your Crowning Glory
If you've been neglecting your hair all summer long, shame, shame! Now's the time to slather a restorative treatment to help rejuvenate your tresses just in time for another season of good-hair days. We suggest Damage Reverse Instant Restorative Hair Serum by Ojon. The formula is easily absorbed to strengthen hair, tame frizz, and speed up heat-infused styling to prevent further damage. To protect your color and repair damage, be sure to try Alterna's Rehab Deep Hydration Masque. This nourishing product contains U.V.-blocking protection, so hair stays safe from the sun in any season.

Ojon Damage Reverse Instant Restorative Hair Serum, $25, available at Sephora; ; Alterna Rehab Deep Hydration Masque, $24, available at Sephora.
