It was a bit of a wait to get into LnA's fall 2010 presentation at the Milk Studios' Penthouse, and once in, we were a little taken aback by the glowering stares leveled at us by the models. Posing on platforms in front of large geometric installations, the slick-haired ladies rocked the gothic-biker look with intensity, doing their best to stare us down while we took stock of their exclusively black, white, and gray outfits. Though their looks were hard, the pieces were anything but: The label kept to its reputation as the softest basics line around, turning out nearly lambs-ear-downy layering pieces like striped and geometric tees, as well as dresses, shorts, and paneled leggings. Our favorite of the lot, however, was the Mad Max-style biker jackets, which, in one iteration, was the perfect complement to a long, maxi-skirt with vertical stripes. While this hard-edged downtown look is nothing new, we're betting no biker has ever donned gritty basics quite this soft. Click through for pics from the presentation, as well as party photos from the LnA afterparty featuring Patti Smith, Metric, Leigh Lezark, Agyness Deyn, and more Fashion Week party kid. - Show quoted text -
