3 Restaurants, 3 Outfits: Be Summer-Chic While You Eat

Our Summer Fun lists have gotten rather lengthy. Get beach-ready, take a road-trip, hit up some outdoor concerts, you get the picture. Even if you're list will likely run into fall, we've got three more things to add to the mix, and it's all about good food, good company, and, of course!, good style. From the ultimate low-key joint with the best bar fare, to a chic ocean-side eatery, to the perfect spot to bring your new summer fling, these three restaurants are not to be missed. EN Japanese Brasserie

Whether you want to savor the moments with a special person, or savor that last spoonful of creamy soba tea pudding, EN Japanese Brasserie is the place to do it all. Forget about confined train cars and spend an evening under the soaring ceilings, surrounded by over-sized windows in this swanky, West Village nook. The Japanese restaurant is way more than just sushi and sake; it has a menu that will change the way you think about traditional Japanese cuisine. Chef Abe Hiroki will spark a little adventure in your appetite with dishes such as mochi croquette (dashi broth with mochi rice cakes covered in potato and duck), Washugyu yaki shabu (thin, Kobe-style short rib on a personal hot stone for grilling), and other izakaya (pub fare) in authentic Japanese style. The comfortable, romantic style makes EN the perfect inner-city escape for summertime sweethearts, in a dimly-lit setting that is sure to set the mood. Let out your inner coquet and show some skin on your freshly, sun-kissed shoulders and legs. Accent it with a touch of sassy, strappy sandals and wear an irresistible shade of lipstick, leaving enough intrigue to spark your date's imagination.

Gulf Coast Kitchen

We are all for traveling outside city limits for a spectacular meal, especially when it brings us closer to the beach. The Gulf Coast Kitchen, located at the Montauk Yacht Club, is our ideal ocean-side dining spot. Get swept away by delicious casual dining among a spectacular view, made available via floor-to-ceiling windows. Call us predictable, but do not pass up their selection of delicious seafood, like the Hand Harvested Diver Scallops. The fresh, daily ceviche, Cilantro-Ginger Marinated Skate, and Organic Corn Fuselli are also making us feel suddenly hungry. Although an ocean breeze and good, locally-sourced food are enough to get us to travel out to Montauk, we suggest you make a weekend out of this trip. Build your appetite while you rejuvenate at the spa, catch a few waves at Surf Camp and relax on the private lake beach. Before heading to diner, slip into a silky and effortlessly-chic jumpsuit. Feel free to let your surroundings inspire your accessories, such as with shell-embellished espadrilles. A cozy, white cardi will also serve you well as you sink your coral-polished toes into the sand for a post-dinner stroll.

Pop Pub

Burgers and beers were certainly not on our beach-body diets, but if there was ever a time to indulge, it would be now. From their sister locale, Pop Burger, comes this season's newest comfort food hot spot, Pop Pub. No frills necessary, Pop Pub offers the yummiest bar fare in a casual, rustic setting. Raw wood benches, boot-shaped beer steins, and walls decorated with so-called "Warhol Rejected" replicas will welcome you, and a few of your closest friends, to kick back without a care. Be sure to order up one of their awesome burgers (duh) and a few sides to split with your table, like fries, mozzarella sticks, and popcorn shrimp. Pop Pub also offers a selection of wine and 15 beers on tap, as well as, three plasma televisions and custom playlists. Leave the couture at home and opt for a come-as-you-are ensemble. A summer staple of cut off shorts, flowing tank, and strappy flats will be super comfortable and cute. Don't be afraid to mix pretty pops of color that channel your own inner Warhol.
