Rocker Glam: We Are The Rule-Breakers, We Are The Trendmakers

The rocker-glam girl is sexy, confident, and spontaneous. She has skin as thick as her leather leggings and a heart made out of the same material as her belt studs — gold. While we still wouldn’t want to get into a tiff with this sultry siren, we do admire her edgy style and bold spirit.
If you've discovered your inner rocker, share this newfound inspiration and post with the world by way of your favorite social network. A chance at a $250 Nine West shopping spree and a ticket to a rock-'n'-roll concert is a mere tweet, like, or pin away!

What To Wear:

Just like her personality, the rocker-glam girl's go-to outfit is tough, dark, and sexy. So, it's not surprising that she has an affinity for black, leather, and accessories of the spiky, metal variety. This stunner dons the more edgy wares while still invoking the glamour girl within. And nothing represents this idea better than her Nine West peep-toe booties. The thick heels are perfect for strutting around with attitude, yet the fringe lends a certain femininity and sex appeal. Paired with her favorite low-rise, skinny, leather pants, a crossbody bag complete with studs, and a denim biker jacket, this outfit definitely deserves your envious looks...though we wouldn't stare too long.

Nine West Icelandic boots, $135, available at Nine West; All Saints Biker Pant, $495, available at All Saints; Mango Washed Denim Biker Jacket, $69.99, available at Mango; A.P.C. Sheer Jersey T-shirt, $84, available at La Garconne; Nine West Botkier For Nine West Trigger Moto, $245, available at Nine West.

Where To Go Out At Night:

Though she’d be just as comfortable at Motor City Bar in the Lower East Side, this rocker chick is a bit more glam than your typical Harley rider. When it’s time to get dolled up, she heads to Westway in the West Village. A former gentleman’s club, this dance spot features stripper stages, mirrored walls, and black, window-less rooms — nothing this girl can’t handle. There are no specialty cocktails here — just a fully stocked bar with three of her favorite men: Johnny, Jim, and Jack.

If you’re L.A. bound and share the same affinity for dark spaces and sexy spots, throw back a drink or two at the quiet, upscale bar known as The Writer’s Room in Hollywood. Then, when you’re ready to turn the night up a notch, head over to Papaya King — yes, the famed hot-dog spot on Wilcox Avenue. Through a bright, yellow door in this fast-food eatery, belongs the moody, exclusive lounge called The Sayers Club. With dark, wooden floors, a large, black bar, and gray curtains to shield every corner, you daring dames will feel right at home.

What To Listen To:

This girl has no qualms about speaking her mind. So, it’s not surprising she rocks out to jams that are just as outspoken. Though she may look tough, she’s in tune with her emotions and uses music as an outlet for her angst, euphoria, or whatever mood she’s feeling. Sound like you? These tracks may become your next obsession.

What To Do On A Lazy Weekend:

After a long workweek, it’s time to unbuckle those studded boots and let loose. Thankfully, the neighborhood record store is singing your name. As for us, well, we pop into Fool's Gold in Brooklyn any chance we get. After all, an afternoon perusing vinyl stacks is an afternoon well spent. Next, grab a few friends and hit the billiards for a few relaxing rounds.

Where To Go One Day:

With its towering skyscrapers, alternative music scene, and barrier-breaking style, Tokyo is the place to visit for any trendsetter with attitude. You’ll want to stop by the Shinjuku district in central Tokyo to awe at the modern architecture, dance in the hippest night clubs, and experience see the red-light district. Come day, visit nearby neighborhood Shibuya — home of the Harajuku craze — for an afternoon of shopping delight. What we’re most excited about: the sushi.
