After a summer of dewy skin and glossy brights, settling into fall beauty looks is like curling up under a warm blanket. There's something about the matte textures, dark colors, and breezy, undone hairstyles that makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside — and this season's trends take that feeling and turn it way up.
Eager to adopt the smoky liner and I-woke-up-like-this waves of the fall runways, we turned to two beauty gurus who saw the trends at their inception: NARS makeup artist Jenny Smith
and Bumble and bumble hairstylist Tiffani Patchett
. Together, they created four looks that are the beauty equivalents of vintage flannel — they're warm, slightly grunge-inspired, and pair well with just about anything (in this case, the best of fall fashion — ripped straight from the runways).
Go ahead and get comfortable; it may still feel like summer, but we're already dreaming of autumn.
