From intern to head honcho at TeenVogue.com, Naomi Nevitt's rise to media fame at the only teen mag adults still obsess over has been one we've watched closely. With her schoolgirl-gone-downtown look, she's always at the top of our style-stalking list. Lucky for us, Naomi opened the doors to her super-cute NYC abode filled with zines, black boots, and loads of cool-girl tchotchkes. C'mon in and take a peek!

Who (or what!) are your biggest style inspirations?
"I love uniforms of any kind — school uniforms, military uniforms, and so forth, which I think explains why I'm obsessed with A.P.C.'s clothing. Also, art and places inspire how I dress. I love Japanese ceramics, the faded colors of California, and dance music."

You're a big music buff, and Teen Vogue is always on the lookout for the most addicting new acts. Who are you into at the moment?
"They aren't particularly 'new' but, I've really been into Toro y Moi, Blood Orange, and Jamie XX's solo tracks lately."
If you could have any meal in the world right now, what would it be?
"My friend Julia Turshen's (Gwyneth Paltrow's food collaborator) famous spaghetti and meatballs. Really, anything Julia cooks is amazing — super simple but delicious!"
We remember you really championing nail art when the trend hadn't hit the ground yet. Any products or styling trick you're obsessed with right now?
"I'm on a cat eyeliner kick, but I haven't mastered it yet. It's so hard to have a steady hand! And I'm obsessed with navy nails — it's my new red. I think it goes with everything and looks sophisticated."

You chopped off your waist-length hair around a year ago. Any hairstyles you particularly miss or want to try out?
"I've always wanted to dye my hair a crazy color like turquoise or purple, but am too afraid of looking like a My Little Pony. I really love how dyed hair looks when it's faded."
Alexander Wang shoes.
What's your dressing philosophy? Any outfit combos you find yourself consistently repeating?
"I'm a sucker for anything striped and I cannot turn down a perfectly tailored button-down shirt. Basically this, combined with a pair of super-skinny Cheap Monday jeans or a pleated skirt is my everyday uniform. It's my pretend French-rocker look."

What's one cheap thrill you recently scored?
"When I was in L.A. over the holidays, I scored a really nice leather skirt for $10 at Jet Rag. I'm sad though, because I missed their $1 sale!"

What are the three pieces in your closet you could never part with?
"My emerald green PS1, my vintage motorcyle jacket, and my A.P.C. chelsea boots."
"The lamp is by artist Noam Rappaport, the pillows are Cath Kidson, and that's a vintage Hudson Bay blanket."
"This is my zine wall, which holds a collection of magazines purchased at Printed Matter or gifted to me by my artist friends."

Who's your dream Teen Vogue cover star
"I think we nailed it with Elle Fanning. Major girl crush."
What are the zines we've been missing out on?
"Hard to narrow down — really, anything from Printed Matter
is a winner."

What were you like as a teen?
"I was really ambitious and magazine-obsessed — I interned at Flaunt magazine the summers before and after my senior year of high school and started my own culture zine at school. I wish blogging had been around because I would have been all over it! I also loved exploring L.A. — going to concerts and art galleries downtown, and trying to find off-the-beaten-path things to do that were outside of my Westside comfort zone."
