While we absolutely love style blogs, sometimes the "Where would I ever possibly wear that to?"-factor can be a bit on the heavy side. Not so with local gal Anh from the totally addictive site 9-to-5 Chic. A cubicle-dweller in the medical-device industry by day, Anh’s blog is all about style that can work both in and out of the office. To see how this lady switches things up when she’s off-duty, we had her play tour guide and show us her favorite spots around town—and the perfect ensembles to go with them!

What are your rules for 9-to-5 dressing?
"My favorite outfits that go from 9-to-5 combine classic workwear pieces in unexpected ways. And pops of color are always fun to incorporate. In this case I wore a bright pink Zara top over a nude Theory blouse and combined it with a thrifted Brooks Brothers blazer, Zara trousers, Chloe heels, and a Celine bag."
What do you love about this place, the Nob Hill Cafe?
"This is the best local Italian restaurant and it's also conveniently on my way home from work. It's really not difficult to convince me to make a pit-stop here!"
Why is this park one of your go-to spots?
"Huntington Park is my neighborhood park and it's a green, luscious, and beautiful postage stamp-sized space surrounded by high rises, passing cable cars, and the nonstop flurry of city life. On the weekends I'm here to soak up some sunshine and on the weekday evenings I always bring my trenchcoat and scarf—it gets windy!"

Where will we find you shopping in San Francisco?
"My favorites: Zara, Saks, Barneys, H&M, Neiman Marcus and Jeremy's. And for thrifting, I like Wasteland in the Haight."
Outfit details: H&M dress and scarf, Alaia heels, Celine bag.
How would you describe your style?
"My style has been hugely influenced by my need for
work-appropriate clothing. I've grown to rely heavily on silk
blouses, pencil skirts, and blazers, and I like to mix in cheaper
of-the-moment thrills for weekend wear."

leather jacket, Theory blouse, Zara

Introduce us to those fur balls!
"There are our pomeranian puppies: Mochi is chocolate brown and 8-years-old and Buffalo is black and 2-years-old. They bring a lot of joy into our lives and, luckily for me, neither have a penchant for chewing on shoes."
What do you love about your hood?
"Nob Hill is a great neighborhood to live in. It's centrally located—not more than a $7 cab ride to most places in the city—and just a handful of blocks from Union Square."
What's your go-to shopping ensemble?
"Because Union Square is just a short 10-minute walk from home, I'll wear whatever I was wearing that day, including the requisite 4" heels, if it's just a quick stop. But when I know I'll be heading into store after store for hours on end, I like to throw on flats, like these J.Crew sparklers. This time around I paired them with an All Saints sweater, J.Crew blouse, and my Forever21 cut-offs."
