Throughout time, enduring musical acts have given us more than just a catchy tune — they've performed major sartorial serenades, too. When you think about some of the classics — Fleetwood Mac, The Doors, The Velvet Underground, and The Grateful Dead — doesn't a memorable vibe come to mind? Well, since we're total groupies for these particular bands' ballads and groovy getups, we're letting them play muse for today's Perfect Outfit spread.

From a turban we could so see Stevie Nicks crooning in and a white number suited for channeling Nico to a Dead-concert-worthy ensemble (Birkenstocks included!), here's your chance to honor the timeless groups by more than just belting out their lyrics. Fleetwood Mac
The reigning queen of rock 'n' roll, Stevie Nicks, put gypsy style on music's map (the song of the same name is always on our repeat for a reason!). And, to this day, girlfriend isn't afraid of a bell or angel sleeve — not to mention all of that marvelous millinery. Channel the cool crooner in a modern way with tousled tresses, a gloriously cheap turban, and an easy embroidered LBD courtesy of John Lewis. This is a "Landslide" of a look if we've ever seen one!

The Velvet Underground
German native Nico first hit the scene posing for Vogue and Elle (she was 5'10"!), scored a minor role in Fellini's La Dolce Vita, and ended up a Warhol wonder child after recording with the Stones' Brian Jones. While the band's sound didn't hit the zeitgeist until much later, her bohemian approach to dressing and timeless beauty made its mark immediately. In one of our favorite images of the chanteuse, she stands nonchalantly with her all-black-clad band in a killer suit, scarf, and smug look. Snag that same effortless-yet-head-turning vibe with some MIH bells, a matching jacket, and retro circular sunnies from House of Harlow.

Grateful Dead
Most of us missed Jerry's on-stage heyday, and what we wouldn't give to have witnessed the magic in action! Well, since Coachella's the next best thing to Woodstock, this freewheelin' ensemble could be a strong contender for your packing list. The Cult Gaia headpiece may not exactly be "Scarlet Begonias," but mixed with a fresh spin on Birks and a flowy tie-dyed maxi from Free People, you'll be "Truckin'" to Indio looking 2013-meets-1969.
