Maybe you've been to enough neighborhood bars to be skeptical that any guy or girl you meet is not going to be the one you'll spend the rest of your life with. Maybe not even the rest of your drink with. But, for Miles Kennedy and Maria Matis it was a good, old Lower East Side bar that brought the Brooklyn couple together.
While this may seem like the start of an epic NYC wedding in the making, when it came time for the couple to officially tie the knot this past summer, they headed down to Marfa instead. With a mashup of East Coast/West Coast collaborators — a bride who co-designed her own leather wedding gown and a LCD Soundsystem cover band — the wedding was not only a celebration, but a reflection of the creative couple themselves.
