The sister designer duo behind the label, Marie and Karen Potesta, have made stitching lavish knitwear their forte, and this latest batch of cozy cover-ups, woven from Egyptian cotton and cashmere, have us eager to bundle up. For spring, the dreamy weaves come in soft, muted tones (think stormy blue and rust) in the form of cross-stitched pullovers, geometric shrugs, and cropped pinhole T’s. Also, the high-waisted chevron shorts would make any ensemble effortlessly chic, and should be not overlooked.
What brought about this luxe but subdued collection? “The spring line was inspired by the art of basket weaving," says Karen, "We replicated the textures and patterns found in traditional weaving techniques, and created geometric designs in a rectangular format that’s common in artisanal basket weaving.”
Obviously, we’re ready to take these interlaced pieces for a spin of our own! Lucky for us, the wares are available to scoop up now at the line’s online shop, and at local shops like Conifer, Steven Alan, and General Store. But before you click the “add to basket” button, we suggest you peep the threads in this stunning lookbook after the jump, to see how the zigzagged wares shine at the beach. Trust us, it’s worth the wait!
