Marc Jacobs Might Leave Louis Vuitton For Dior

It's about time for another rumor regarding Dior's un-filled Creative Director position—WWD reports that Marc Jacobs has allegedly been in talks with Dior. The move would mean he would leave his position at the very lucrative Louis Vuitton empty, allowing Phoebe Philo, the woman with the Midas touch, as the first-in-line to replace Marc there (don't worry girls, Phoebe will still hold her post at Celine). Apparently, Marc had been considered for a Dior position as far aback as in the '90s, but was passed over in favor for Galliano, who took the brand to new heights. While we think Marc's sense of kitsch and whimsy certainly translates to Dior, we can't imagine LV without the MJ. (WWD)
