If you wanted to create the perfect storm of selfies, how would you do it? You might start with one of the world's most massively popular designers: the one-man brand Marc Jacobs. And, he might announce on his massively popular Twitter account that he's casting "real people" in his next campaign for Marc by Marc Jacobs. And, he might tell you that all you needed to do to be, oh, let's say, the next Miley is post a selfie with the hashtag #CastMeMarc.
Indeed, Jacobs did just that yesterday, and the Internet promptly exploded with selfies. The #CastMeMarc hashtag currently boasts nearly 15,000 of them just 24 hours after the announcement yesterday morning. And, it's well worth a browse if you want to see the next face of Marc early — or if you just enjoy arm's-length bathroom portraits of pouty, perfectly tousle-haired youths. Click over to The Huffington Post for complete contest details and a peek at some of the best entries so far. And, for all those people posting multiple selfies, we see you — and a different filter does not a new selfie make. (The Huffington Post)
