Does Marc Jacobs' New Foundation Look Familiar?

Marc Jacobs Beauty isn't like other makeup brands — for a few reasons. The company embraced 64-year-old Jessica Lange as the face of its cosmetics, did a whole line of products for dudes, and bestowed upon the world a collection of color cosmetics that rivals prestige brands with decades of experience. Then there's the fact that Marc Jacobs himself seems to find inspiration just about anywhere. Case in point: the new foundation stick from his fall collection.
Looks a little familiar, doesn't it? That's because the shape already exists — for deodorant. Yep. Jacobs wanted to create an on-the-go foundation that was clutch for traveling, and was inspired by his own travel deodorant (aren't we all?)
Unique packaging aside, the makeup itself works wonders. And, while this format may seem a little awkward for foundation, it's actually pretty genius. Just swipe the foundation around the main points of your face (on your forehead, down your nose, on each cheek, and on your chin), then blend out, and you're set.
Like all of Marc Jacobs Beauty's face makeups, this one comes in a variety of shades, ranging from light to deep. The best part? They're available right now. So, pick this stick up and toss it in your bag — just make sure you double-check when you pull it out again, so as not to swipe foundation into your pits.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Smart Wand Tinted Face Stick, $42, available at Marc Jacobs Beauty.
