We went and saw the nominees for LVMH's "The Art Of Craftsmanship Revisted" competition last fashion week, a collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Parsons The New School for Design in which 23 groups of students were paired with local artisans with the goal of creating fashion and documentary films inspired by their mentors' works. On May 26, we're excited to see if our fave designs are in the the three winning teams (judged by a six-person team that included such fashion luminaries as Prabal Gurung, David Turnley, and Fabiola Beracasa, plus the CEO of LVMH and the Dean of Parsons) that will be unveiled in installations at a special event at the historical Nolan Park on Governors Island. And if you're feeling up for a little style adventure, the exhibition will be on view every weekend from June 5 to June 27. While you're on the isle, might we suggest being extra crafty and bringing a bike, too?
