Eastside V. Westside — Who Wins L.A.'s Street Style Battle Royale…

There's no doubt about it: Serious style lurks in every nook and cranny of Los Angeles. But when it comes to the cutting-edge factor, another sure bet is that the outliers downtown and at the beach bring it best. There are miles and temp differences between the two 'hoods, which means they forge contrasting fashion frontiers. And every resident on either side of the compass claims their coffee, cocktails, and art have the most clout (we never engage in these debates, eek!).

Truth be told, we love to get a taste of it all. That's why we played both fields, and spent two lovely nights at the Downtown Artwalk and Abbot Kinney First Fridays, basking in the revelry both artsy functions bring. And we didn't forget to pack our cameras, either. While both ends of the map gave great face, we're on the fence about whether the city slickers or the beach babes claim all the glory in our street scenes (Mom told us never to play favorites!). So, we're letting you in on this cool contest: Defend the honor of the ladies of your locale in the comments below. We'll let you go ahead and duke it out. But, no matter what zip code you call home, we promise you'll be satisfied and inspired by our sartorial snaps.

Campus Street Style Rivals: USC Vs. UCLA — Who Wins…

We're not really huge football fans, but the one game we never miss each year is the heated brawl between the Bruins and the Trojans (beers in hand, natch). It's about so much more than pigskin, though—people go positively cray-cray over this age-old feud, academic and athletic. And, of course, we wanted to find out who fares best when it came to actual street cred—and by this we mean, who brings their A-plus game, fashion-wise, of course.

So, we had babes from both schools battle it out in front of our street-style lens. It turns out, they're all over-achievers. (And, we're just so glad we didn't catch anyone in their PJs heading to an 8 a.m. class!). From colorblocked little numbers to the daintiest denim day dress we've spotted all spring, these gals definitely don't slack in the dressing department. But you tell us: When it comes to cute collegiate style, who is the most ahead of the curve? Vote in our comments section to settle this score for good, and decide who belongs in SoCal's haute Hall of Fame.

It's Makeup Mayhem At Urban Decay's Tricked-Out Beauty Bureau!

Back in the pre-Urban Decay days, wearing purple nail polish was akin to announcing you were joining the circus (doesn't that make you nail-art junkies shudder?). When founder Wende Zomnir unleashed her alternative attitude toward painting ladies in '96,
she made major makeup waves, and her nouveau bag of tricks gave the old-boys network of blah beiges and pinks a run for their money. Today, these product provocateurs make innovation their number one priority, and are finding ways to shock and awe our regular old regimens on the daily.

With punchy palettes and names like Half-Baked, Punch Drunk, and F-Bomb, it's no surprise that UD's office space is off-its-rocker rad (swearing like a sailor is clearly encouraged), and the girls inside sport mohawks and loud lips. Boasting tall, collaged walls, an Alice In Wonderland-themed bathroom, and cheeky pieces everywhere—these Orange County digs are truly out of this world. Check out how these rogues roll in to their crazy HQ each day and we bet you'll be tempted to send them your resume, stat!

29 Accessory Snaps From The Fashion Show That Is Coachella

As you well know by now, we were snap-happy as clams on the festival grounds last weekend, bringing you the best street style under Coachella's klieg lights. However, we decided the stage-friendly accessories deserved mad props and pics, too! Seriously, the scene-stealing shoes, totes, and arm adornments made us sweat more than the sweltering temps.

We spotted Dree Hemingway rocking a dope Dolce & Gabbana embroidered bunny bag, some amazing Marni x H&M ear candy, and a few rad backpacks that made us wish it was back-to-school time. So, without further ado, we present the last piece of Indio awesomeness — until next year. Get prepared to work up a summer shopping appetite, ya'all!

We can't keep our eyes off the shoes here at Coachella, and some festival freaks are literally putting the pedal to the metal! Whatever the reason, we found the baddest hardware out there, perfect for those die-hard concert junkies. So flip through our footwear finds — they're major, well, studs!

Festival Fashion! 50 Hot Snaps From Coachella

Kicking off on Friday the 13th this year, the Coachella weekend began on a freaky foot. With uncommonly wild weather, it felt way more Glastonbury than the steamy desert show SoCal’s grown so accustomed to. We even had to make an emergency trip to Target for tights — never thought we’d see that day.

The elements definitely had their way with festival-goers, but it actually made for an amazing visual feast (layers, baby!). And we ended up getting the best of both worlds, anyway, because by Sunday, the mercury finally rose, and we saw an explosion of crop tops, cutoffs, and barely-there luxe-hippie garb.

Shutter-happy and with eyes like hawks, we stomped the grounds to bring you snaps of all the intoxicating outfits, including the ones donned by the belles of the musical ball (read: Kate Bosworth, Karlie Kloss, Lily Donaldson, and Dree Hemingway). If you’re going next weekend, you’ll find plenty of packing fodder here — and if not, consider it summer wardrobe inspiration galore!
