3 Top Lala Music Venues, 3 Expertly Styled Looks To Really Rock!

Is there anything better than dancing your pants off or swaying to sweet melodies? Live music is the soul of L.A. nightlife, and lucky for us, we play host to a bevy of super-cool venues that only add to the experience. Aside from major auditoriums like Staples, many local sound stages boast a unique feel that amps up any visiting musical act. So, with that thought ringing in our ears, we chose three of our favorite concert locales around town and styled sick outfits around their vibes. From a boho-and-fringe ensemble for Hotel Cafe to a Deco-inspired look for The Wiltern, all you have left to do is buy your tickets. Feel free to bob your heads to the rhythm click!

The Wiltern
Smack dab in the heart of K-Town, this historic landmark auditorium boasts insane acoustics and unparalleled Art Deco craftsmanship. You'll want to live up to the glam atmosphere and still be concert-comfy, so we styled the perfect pair of mint skinnies (don't they match the edifice perfectly?) with ornate earrings, an ode to the venue's stunning aesthetic. Slip into some gilt Joie flats, and get ready to rock out to acts like Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Camera Obscura this summer!

The Wiltern, 3790 Wilshire Boulevard (at South Western Avenue); 213-388-1400.

Hotel Cafe
One of the most intimate places to catch a burgeoning band before they hit it big, Hotel Cafe is where the cool kids go for their indie fix. We love the look of a graphic Mara Hoffman maxi, a heavy dose of black eyeliner, and any bohemian accoutrements you can get your hands (and fingers and wrists!) on. Since it's also known to be a mecca for hot men, why not stand out from the crowd in a spotlight-worthy getup?

The Hotel Cafe, 1623 North Cahuenga Boulevard (between Hollywood Boulevard and Selma Avenue); 323-461-2040.

From Left, Clockwise: Barbara Boner Lilith Small Fringe Bag, $1,064, available at FarFetch; Mara Hoffman Slit Back Column Dress, $286, available at Les Nouvelles; Smashbox Limitless Eye Liner, $19, available at Sephora; Dream Collective 3 Rings Stack, $66, available at Dream Collective; Sam Edelman Trina Sandals in Ink Red Leather, $100, available at Jildor Shoes.

The El Rey
A gorgeous, Art Deco-inspired space perfect for evenings spent with elite indie acts — nary a mosh pit or sweaty teenager in site. So, leave the band shirts and ripped jeans at home next time you take in the Purity Ring or Cloud Cult. A sharp skirt with careful, head-to-toe color coordination, Converse hi-tops, and a compliment-fetching bag fit the vibe.

The El Rey, 5515 Wilshire Blvd (between South Burnside and South Dunsmuir Avenues; 323-936-6400)

From Left, Clockwise: Converse All Star Hi Neon Blue, $55, available at Converse; Court Sam Jean Jacket Antique, $116, available at Bona Drag; Roskanda Nincic Saunton Bi-Colour Crepe Top, $591, available at Matches; Topshop Black Full Skater Skirt, $76, available at Topshop; Proenza Schouler Lunch Bag, $915, available at Barneys.

The Greek Theatre
We never turn down an invitation to The Greek — it doesn't even matter what musician is playing! Nestled in a verdant nook of Griffith Park, here, live music is simply majestic. Since you're at the whim of the elements, a jacket is always a must, so lucky for us, this Lucky coverup perfectly harmonizes with the park's vibe. We peeked at the summer lineup (Cyndi Lauper and Steve Miller Band are highlights), and rest assured — this number grooves with all tunes!
