Things Got Weird At The “This Is New York” London Fashion Week Party

Fashion week is all about the parties. And, the shows, of course...but more about the parties. In London, the girls took to their highest heels and sexier, chicer ensembles. Bridging the gap between the international markets, and giving the Americans on this side of the pond a little taste of home, GrandLife Hotels and My Beautiful Life brought the annual "This Is New York" party to London’s infamous Mahiki — a.k.a. Prince Harry's standby hotspot. With it's Hawaiian decor, tiki photobooth, and courtesy coconut cocktails, the stylish crowd let their hair down to an infectiously catchy playlist thanks to DJ sets from Nancy Whang, Harley Viera Newton, Tennessee Thomas, and The Misshapes.
Following a full day of shows, including Vivienne Westwood, Topshop Unique, Paul Smith, and Jonathan Saunders, you'd think everyone would head straight home to rest their feet for a laid-back Sunday night. Well, you'd be wrong. London Fashion Week only comes twice a year after all, meaning we caught Dree Hemingway, Alexa Chung, Leigh Lezark, Phil Oh, Susie Bubble —  and a few fashion folk who must have misread the invite and thought it was a costume party — stepping out in style.
Fast forward to Monday morning: The surplus of sunglasses on the front row of the presentations confirmed the fact that it had been a good night. Ahead, the gorgeous and the just-plain bizarre (again, dudes, it's not Halloween).
