A Day In The Life (And Lipstick) Of Louise Roe

Day or night, work-day or weekend, nothing traces your every move quite like your lipstick. Since your pucker print can inevitably tell a lot about your personality, we decided to enlist our makeup kit's MVP to guide us through one busy lady's crazy—and colorful!—day of fashion. Where she goes, who she sees, what she wears—Dior Addict Lipstick was there to complement her every move—and look!—and provide a nifty little reminder of what a lovely day it was. First up, presenter/lipstick goddess Louise Roe, who very happily squeezed in a little L.A.-based dispatch of her daily Dior'rific dress-up routine. Follow her on Twitter at @LouiseRoe.

11 a.m.: Shopping at Arcade in Los Angeles—"Even though I am obsessed with clothes, I tend to save up my shopping trips until I want something really badly. It was a beautiful sunny morning, so I headed to Melrose Place alone—I like to shop on my own—to nab a stunning dress I'd had my eye on for a while. Arcade is such an edgy store; it carries a lot of up-and-coming designers, bright prints, and chunky jewelry, so, I always like to feel stylish when I'm heading inside! My favorite color this season is orange, so I wore some orange bangles. To tone down my leather miniskirt, I wore a soft daytime-perfect chambray blouse with a bit of a '70s edge. Dior Addict Lipstick in Basic 253 was the perfect complement—a simple glossy nude with a hint of pink that went beautifully with the other hues. It's elegant but not overpowering—I keep this color in my handbag to wear all the time."

2 p.m.: Lunch at Eveleigh—"I don't drink cocktails in the day much because I end up falling asleep and missing the party, but Eveleigh's sunny back terrace was just too gorgeous not to. My best-friend Anita joined me for a laid-back lunch—their fries covered in truffle oil should be illegal they're so good! For this mid-day break, I went for a baggy pair of harem pants, which performed double time in looking cute and hiding a delicious lunch...Haha! I also love the color taupe, it's demure and chic, so I chose that with my lace crop-top and towering heels. To finish the look, I added Dior Addict Lipstick in Fourreau 971, it's more of a berry stain and the shade really makes a girl's smile pop."

6 p.m.: Drinks at The Mason 140 Hotel Bar—"L.A. has got so many great bars and restaurants, but this one is a true hidden gem. This is where I like to go for a quiet, romantic drink with my boyfriend, who happened to be visiting from New York. This Kelly Wearstler-designed hotel is also the perfect place for a delicious after-work cocktail. Here, I wanted to wear something more wistful and romantic, so this caftan, made by my friend in London, was just the thing. It contrasted well with the scarlet lips, Dior Addict Lipstick in Collection 865, and the hotel's stunning vivid background. The evening really got me feeling very femme fatale!"
