    Here in SoCal, we’re super spoiled with a devoted sun that shines down most days of summer (June gloom be damned!). Pretty lucky, right? And it’s a good thing, too, with all of the outdoor activities (catch our L.A.-area camping guide?) rounding out our to-do lists. Wasting time and those precious rays changing outfits and worrying about what to pack? Not us. When the temp heats up, we prefer an M.O. of low maintenance, but never low on luxury (natch).

    True, we have our trusty LBD’s and LBW's to rely on. But this summer we’re making a serious argument for the simple leather sandal (henceforth, the SLS — do you think we can we make it sartorially viral?).

    Imagine it: On the beach with cut-offs and cover-ups, paired with floaty frocks for daytime shopping trips, worn with simple and modern sheath dresses for night — the SLS is a trés chic addition, non? High on comfort, with go-anywhere-style in spades, this must-have shoe is like the flip flop’s sleek, sophisticated, yet still comfy cousin.
