We are understandably obsessed with Kim Gordon—we even tapped her to share her insider's guide to NYC with us. So color us psyched when we heard the singer was helping celebrate hot-shop No. 6's fifth anniversary with a portfolio collaboration of Gordon's art entitled
The Noise Paintings
. The Sonic Youth front-woman appropriated a lyric from Fleetwood Mac's Rhiannon: "she is like a cat in the dark, and then she is the darkness," and used it as inspiration for a series of 14 single word paintings ($40 each) on canvas paper that you can buy alone or together. Plus, Gordon created a special "Noisy" No.6 image, which the store printed on a limited-series of silk tees. Both the limited-edition tee and portfolio just landed in the boutique and at www.no6store.com. We're ready to turn up the volume.
