New diffusion lines are pretty much the highlight of our fashion year at R29, so when Katie by Katie Gallagher landed in our inbox, we couldn't help but get excited — before appropriately pouting and trying to act as cool and aloof as the model. The collection, which is NYC-based designer Katie Gallagher's newest venture into affordable separates, consists of typically-KG tops, dresses, and a pair of leggings exclusively in black.

As if the five-piece line wasn't enough to whet our sartorial taste buds and pause all other Internet activity, the line also includes three can't-live-without jewelry pieces, which you may definitely remember from Gallagher's spring '13 presentation. Two ear cuffs and a handcuff (available in black and white) tempt us and promise to make any outfit (or bad hair day) intriguing and sleek.

The diffusion line is seductively sheer, designed and detailed to perfection, and (our favorite) within our budgets. With price points ranging between $150 and $250, each piece is quickly being justified in our mental wardrobes.

Whether you've been waiting for this since our first profile of Gallagher back in 2009 or you're a novice fan, click through the slideshow for an expert peek, and shop the collection starting today on Katie's site — before we beat you to it.
