About Collection

Jeans are a force to be reckoned with. We’ve even seen them ignite an entire sisterhood. Like fashion time capsules, they hold memories, reminding us of both good times and bad — from the time we fell and ripped a knee running to catch the L train to frayed hems caused by a too-long summer walk through the park. They have been our go-to bottoms of choice since before we could dress ourselves and we’re not planning on retiring them any time soon. .

For us, jeans are a closet staple. They‘re a blank canvas — the perfect starting point for any outfit. We’ve been known to match them with everything from midriff-baring crop tops and oversized sweaters to wearing them under mini-skirt dresses and sheer caftans. .

When we are feeling a little lazy but need to throw together some type of acceptable outfit, it seems like more often than not, we default to “jeans and a cute top.” In all seriousness, who hasn’t said that to a friend inquiring what the night’s dress code is? Jeans are the easiest thing we can throw on — aside from our pajamas. They go with everything and depending on the wash, they can be dressed up or down. .

These days, this go-to jeans ensemble is not exclusively boot cut or skinny. No, thank the fashion gods! We are lucky that culottes, overalls, bell-bottoms, boyfriend, and high-rise jeans are all back on trend. .

But, because of all of this, throwing on a simple pair of jeans just got a whole lot more complicated. With all of the different styles available, the outfit possibilities are endless — and that’s before you even begin to mess with shoes, accessories, and outerwear. So many options! .

Here at Refinery29, jeans are kind of our thing. We specialize in curating unique, casual outfits and comfortable-fancy ensembles. Jeans are always in constant rotation in our wardrobes and we’re continuously on the hunt for the latest trends and newest bedazzled add-ons. Check back here for what’s new and tips for how to style the jeans in your closet.
