Will Robson-Scott and Ollie Grove might not have dogs of their own, but they've spent a large chunk of the last few years hanging out with all kinds of pups. They smoked pot with a group of pitbull breeders in Los Angeles. They met a dog in London named Mr. Harrison and discovered that he had his very own vintage-inspired "boudoir." They ventured to both sides of the Atlantic to document the relationship between canines and their owners, shooting their subjects in a formal portrait style that makes each one of their images feel truly unique.
And, now, they've decided to release the collaborative project as a limited-edition book published by Victory Journal
. To celebrate the release of In Dogs We Trust
, we caught up with Grove to get the back story on the photographs. Ahead, check out our interview, along with some of his favorite shots.
