How Exactly To Use The New NARS Matte Multiple

emb
Back when NARS first introduced the Multiple, the three-in-one product for lips, eyes, and cheeks, the sleek sticks instantly reached icon status. Now, the sheer, shimmery colors have upgraded to a more sophisticated matte for cheeks and lips only, and we couldn’t be more excited to see what these bad boys can really do.
Turns out, the new Matte Multiple is an absolute dream for easy, subtle contouring, making it perfect for beginners. The shades, available in three bronze and four blush tones, are wonderfully creamy to the touch and beg to be smoothed onto your face. The product can be applied wet or dry, so use a damp brush (or wet fingertips) for the more pigmented colors, like Siam or Cappadoce. Meanwhile, the softer colors (like Anguilla and Altai) glide on beautifully on their own. A foolproof daytime look is as easy as using a wet fingertip to tap a bronze shades along the hollow of your cheek and a blush shade to highlight. Then use the latter for your lip color, as well. Boom, you’re done.

Want to amp it up for a sexier night-out-on-the-town look? Follow the exact same daytime technique, except use the Matte Multiple as is, sans water. The color payoff is much more dramatic but still just as easy. Keep in mind, matte lips demand a well-moisturized, well-exfoliated base, so make sure your pout is in prime condition before applying or else you’ll be in flake city. Balance the whole look with a soft, shimmery eye to avoid looking too flat.
There are a multitude of ways to make the Matte Multiple part of your makeup regime, but, we want to know how you’ll be using this new take! Is the matte trend something up your alley, or do you prefer the original shimmer Multiples?
