You Don’t Have To Hang Ten To Hang At This Surf-Inspired Pop-Up Party

“If everybody had an ocean / Across the U.S.A. / Then everybody’d be surfin’ / Like Californ-I-A” – The Beach Boys totally pinned down Cali’s beach-friendly culture, and while not everybody here can ride waves, we’re totally down to learn (or at least pretend we’re learning…Well hello there, surf instructors!). So, why not get a jump-start on your blue crush by checking out some super cool aquatic art?
That’s the premise of FOAM Magazine and Urban Outfitters’ surf-inspired pop-up shop, Hellawood, which will run through the end of the month. Featuring works from the likes of surf shutterbug Danny Fuller and gear from brands like Insight, Art Park, and Mikoh, Hellawood brings the shore in store, for people of all seaside inclinations.

Jump into the Hellawood experience by attending the opening launch party this Friday, where they'll auction off custom surfboards for charity. If you’re not willing to invest in a board (scaredy cat!), you can still dip a toe into the surf culture, one pair of mega-cute board shorts at a time.

When: Friday, April 6, from 7 to 10 p.m.

Where: Space 15 Twenty, 1520 North Cahuenga Boulevard (between Selma Avenue and West Sunet Boulevard); RSVP here
