We live for the weekend. So, this fall, we're sharing the epic destinations that are filling up our 48 hours of uninterrupted freedom in this new series, The Adventurists. Get inspired, and then show us your own #Epic48 weekend snaps on Instagram.
We won't try to hide the fact that we love our Manhattan HQ, but like all other urbanites, we can't resist a weekend escape (or a few) to the Hamptons — our R29 Beach House is irrefutable proof. So, it's a little hard to believe that one of our own has managed to spend year after year in the city without ever making the trip out east: editorial assistant Samantha Yu.

When our friends at the Wölffer Estate Vineyard got wind, they promptly invited her over to showcase the best that Long Island has to offer. With an insider tour of the vineyards, a horse show, and a plush night spent at the most charming Scandinavian hotel (replete with guest clogs), Samm got a luxurious taste of Hamptons' living.
Since we're not ones to leave anyone behind, we teamed up with Secret's Scent Expressions and Destinations Collection to share all the insider tips for your next escape on the Jitney.

"Max Rohn, Roman Roth, and Donnell Brown from the Wölffer Estate Vineyard were so kind to invite my boyfriend Aaron and me on a private tour of the grounds for a behind-the-scenes look at how their wine is made. From the picking and sorting of grapes to the bottling and archiving, it's an intricate process that takes years. But, when the wine's that good, it's well worth it."

"As a yoga-lover, I was thrilled to take a Yoga in the Vines class on Friday afternoon. The classes are taught by certified instructors and are available almost every day. Obviously, there's a great view. If I could, I'd take endless vines over a sweat-filled studio every day."

"Pausing for a moment for a quick #FromWhereIStand snap. I've never really been a house-slipper person, but these adorable Swedish clogs — available for all guests to use during their stay — may have converted me."

"Breakfast was homemade granola, yogurt, and honey. I should have asked where they got their honey — I swear it was the best I've ever had."

"And, this beautiful view was right behind the farm stand. The endless sea of colorful flowers, the house, and the woman — so picturesque. It reminded me of a painting. But, since I don't paint, I clicked."

"After Pike, I stopped by Joey's Styleliner, an accessories store on wheels filled with handmade goods. Fun fact: The Styleliner is actually a refurbished potato-chip truck! I came upon a pair of bright, brand-new steppers."

"And, finally, the weekend's finale is Dan's Harvest East End, an annual wine-and-food event that brings together more than 30 local chefs and 40 North Fork wineries to celebrate all that Long Island's culinary scene has to offer. Case in point: delectable mini grilled cheeses with sweet-and-savory tomato soup."
