Gym, Tanning, Taxes: Snooki And The Sitch Give N.J. A Break

Snooki, The Situation, Pauly D., and JWOWW may not understand the way taxes work, but they're effecting New Jersey citizens with some serious taxes. Whichever stance you take on the now-iconic (or tragic, depending on how you look at it) television show Jersey Shore, you must admit the cast of orange-tinted characters have certainly made waves all the way up to state government, but citizens of the show's namesake state can breathe a small sigh of relief now that they won't be stuck footing a $420,000 tax bill courtesy of the film tax-credit program originally set in place by (questionable) New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. Christie has always looked down on the show, stating that it "does nothing more than perpetuate misconceptions about the state and its citizens," but now, he gets real by getting legal. Gov. Christie is doing his best to put a Band-Aid on the fist-pumping image of the Garden State, leaving guidos across the nation gripping their hair gel and protein powders in fear. (Google)
