Our favorite looks and trends from Paris Fashion Week.
1. Iridescent Leggings — In subdued shades of gray and pink, the spring legging offered a quieter version of the heavy metal trends. Haider Ackermann
2. Color Blocks —Rich amber, garnet, and other jewel tones were refreshingly atypical of spring's usual fair, pastel palette. Chloé (below left), Miu Miu (below right)
3. The Chic Windbreaker — The classic outerwear staple was transformed with cinched waists and an altogether messier treatment. Dries van Noten
4. The Tennis Dress — The dropped waist showed up on multiple runways, but the retro tennis dress was our favorite take. Martin Grant (below left), Miu Miu (below right)
5. Cropped Trousers — Exposing the ankle gives these wide cuffed pants a youthful, slightly flirty attitude. Chloé
6. Color Scrims — Sheer treatments were everywhere, but we loved the effect of revealing gradations of color beneath translucent panels instead of simply skin. Hussein Chalayan (below left), Yves Saint Laurent (below right)
7. The Summer Sweater Dress — Densely knit mini-dresses balanced in cool shades of bone ranged from avant garde Nordic to girlish New England. Véronique Leroy (below left), Sonia Rykiel (below right)
8. The Day Dress — Free-flowing shapes were more defined with extra-pretty necklines and flattering details at the shoulders and sleeves. Martin Grant (below left), Sonia Rykiel (below right)
9. The Evening Jumpsuit — Referencing the future-perfect trend of the season, the shimmery silk jumpsuit was both space-age and sexy with a little '70s thrown in for good measure. Lanvin
10. Faded Glory — The trompe l'oeil effect of black bleeding into white was an unexpectedly elegant spin on winter's standard shades of gray. Ann Demeulemeester (below left), Viktor & Rolf (below right)
