Before you freak out about how it’s way too early to think about Valentine’s Day — or do the customary lovey-dovey shudder — give us the benefit of the doubt. Here at R29, we've always got the single ladies top of mind, so we get pretty excited about parties that cater to both the coupled and the un-coupled. Next week's bash at Ginger Root Design does just that — it's a joint Valentine’s Day shopping party and an anti-Valentine’s Day drinking party. Seriously, who can resist that?
The party will showcase clothing and accessories designed by the lovely owners Kristen Swenson and Erin Derge, plus original art, handcrafted jewelry, and other finds made by local artists. It's the ideal time to bag a thoughtful gift for a special someone — but no one will judge you if you just want to mingle and shop for yourself. Oh, and did we mention there'll be drinks? Sounds like the perfect place to fall in love...
