Extreme Lookbook—Death-Defying Model Poses On A DIY Raft

Natalia Obradovicova, the majestic blonde in Merritt Charles' swanky new spring lookbook, might rock lace like a bohemian bombshell, but the real kudos are due for her ability to survive this shoot! Floating in the middle of the Pacific (brr) on a 200-pound DIY raft made by the founder of the line, Lacey Horning, Natalia had to hang ten to stay aboard — all while making sure those wispy little numbers stayed looking lovely. And how about this for some adrenaline-pumping? The crew wasn't even sure the raft would hold up until they hauled it out to sea! Lacey dished to us on her inspiration for this stunt, "One of my favorite parts of this business are the adventurous photoshoots we do. Not only is it amazing to see the visions I have come to life, but the experiences and the people involved in creating the art is really what I love the most. There is always a story and memory to look back on with the crew. That to me is priceless." Thankfully for those of us who adore Merritt Charles' casually cool staples, this super-duper-model and the threads came out looking as effortless as the line. Fashion crisis averted.
