We might have given up our muppet buddies a long, long time ago, but the latest accessory trend gives us a way to appreciate our old pals. Like these fictional characters, the most adventurous of handbag trends is playful, bursting with color, and so fuzzy each carryall deserves a hug. While Fendi went a bit more cartoony, with animal faces appearing across its classic baguette, ASOS opted for a more Manic Panic-streaked top handle, while Stella McCartney designed a sleek and chain-strapped rendition (in faux fuzz, of course).

Yet, while the fluffy trend has proven it can be a bit more mature than the Jim Henson characters, can these handbags really be wearable and chic? Click ahead and let us know.
