Calvin Klein Collaborates With Macy’s On A Lower-Priced “Brazillian” Collection

You might take your mother's word that they really do sell Calvin Klein at Costco for less than a crate of oranges, but we all know that to invest in the true Francisco Costa aesthetic (the long, lean, minimalist Calvin Klein look that's more Carolyn Murphy in a silk ball gown than soccer mom in knee-length cargo shorts) requires a trip that's a little more inconvenient (and expensive) than the drive to Costco. But next month… that trip might just end up taking you in the direction of your closest mall.
WWD announced today that Francisco Costa for Calvin Klein will kick off Macy's spring promotion, "A Magical Journey to Brasil" with dresses retailing from $135 to $185. Macy's already stocks Calvin Klein products, but none with Francisco's fingerprint. Of course, Francisco has a different interpretation of Brazil as well, and ditched the colorful, bold patterns for a minimalist (duh), architectural direction. We're unsure of what exactly makes an all-white, long-and-lean, jersey maxi dress "Brazillian," but hey — we're not complaining. The line will be available in 80 Macy's stores as well as Macy's.com on May 15. (WWD)
