First Look! Sophomore Goes On a Racy Rug Romp For Fall

We've long been major fans of Sophomore, Chrissie Miller's line of laid-back tees, skirts, and dresses with a distinct downtown sensibility. And as if anyone needed confirmation that this brand is a go-to for kids in the know, Miller's lookbooks are always stuffed to capacity with lithe and long-haired pretty young things, just like the latest Cass Bird snaps for fall '09. A veritable who's who of downtown's crème-de-la cool—Rita Ackerman, Stella Schnabel, Aurel Schmidt, and Jen Brill the works get rowdy with Dan Colen and Austin Cregg in what looks like someone's stodgy old aunt's house, leaping over banisters and throwing down on floral carpets. The clothes are the loose separates we know and love rendered in leather panels and corset accents and currently topping our list of must-haves for the season—Aunt Tilly's house may never be the same again.
